Students develop intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distances and develop basic stroke techniques in front crawl and back crawl, as well as reinforcing water safety through treading and elementary backstroke. More advanced students develop front/back crawl; integrating arm, leg actions, rhythmic breathing, and will be introduced to breaststroke/butterfly. Students will also develop forward movement on front/back.
Prerequisite Skills: Submerge face underwater, float unassisted on front/back, swim with some assistance/unassisted 10-15 yrds on front/back
